Understand SmartDeeds, Sols, SGT, vaults, valuations, liquidity, approvals, and transaction status without learning every technical term first.

Property and rights

  • SmartDeed: a property-specific record that links terms, supporting information, and current status. Signed documents define any actual rights.
  • Fractional investing: participation in a smaller portion of an offering. The underlying right may be a company share, fund share, or contract; read the documents.
  • Appraisal: a valuation opinion using a stated date, method, and assumptions. It is not a guaranteed sale price.
  • Loan-to-value (LTV): debt divided by the selected property value. Check which debts and valuation date the calculation includes.
  • Liquidity: the ability to exit a position within an acceptable time and price. A visible market does not guarantee a buyer.

Solslot assets and accounts

  • Testnet: a network used for testing. Solslot Alpha test assets have no monetary value or real property rights.
  • Sols: the asset used in eligible secondary SmartDeed protocol swaps. It is separate from primary checkout and SGT.
  • SGT: Solslot's governance asset for eligible proposals and voting. It is not Sols or a property title.
  • Wallet: software or hardware used to manage accounts and authorize signatures. Different connection methods have different custody and recovery arrangements.
  • Vault: the account-bound on-chain structure used by Solslot. Check the active vault before verifying or signing.
  • Credential: verification state bound to the relevant vault and policy. A proof alone does not establish confirmed current on-chain state.

Actions and permissions

  • Signature: authorization over a particular message or transaction. Read what it permits before accepting.
  • Approval or allowance: permission for a specified contract to spend an asset within a limit. It is separate from executing a purchase or transfer.
  • Swap: exchange through the specified mechanism. Solslot's protocol swaps are not a promise of peer-to-peer trading or cash redemption.
  • Redemption: a separate lifecycle action with its own eligibility, funding, terms, and confirmation requirements.
  • Bridge: a mechanism moving supported asset representations across networks, requiring source and destination confirmation.
  • LP token or position: a record of a contribution to a liquidity pool; it has different risks from holding a SmartDeed.

Status and costs

  • Quote: proposed amounts and terms for a specific action, often with an expiry. It is not proof the action happened.
  • Slippage: a difference between expected and executed price. A tolerance limits what you will accept.
  • Network fee or gas: a cost charged for network operations, distinct from any platform charge.
  • Pending: not yet confirmed; it may require time or investigation.
  • Transaction receipt: evidence about a particular transaction and network. Confirm the result and assets, not just that a transaction exists.
  • Unavailable: a value or action that cannot currently be confirmed or used. It does not mean zero.
